Brief Introduction to Reiki.
Reiki pronounced (ray-key) is a powerful yet
subtle and gentle healing system that amplifies our flow of life force energy,
boosting our bodies natural ability to heal itself. Reiki was re-discovered by
a Japanese Monk named Dr Mikao Usui in the 19th century and was introduced to the West around the mid
1970`s. See photo below.
Reiki is a non-intrusive therapy and can be
used without any fear of side effects or overdose. A Reiki treatment is
performed on a therapy bed (or chair if preferred) with the client remaining
fully clothed in a tranquil environment. During a Reiki treatment some common
feelings that may be felt are, tingling sensations, heat, coolness and colour
visuals, generally the client will be left an overall feeling warmth, inner
peace and deep relaxation.Which in this hectic day and age are hard to find!!
Always ensure when you are choosing a Reiki
practitioner or teacher that they are fully trained and certified.You should always remember that
Reiki does not take the place of conventional medicine – Reiki is a complementary therapy and works in
perfect harmony with orthodox health
care and other holistic healing systems.If
